Christmas has officially come early! Qantas has just launched a massive domestic sale, slashing 2 million fares across more than 100 routes and 58 destinations. Even better, the sale covers many of Australia’s peak holiday periods – including Christmas and New Year’s – meaning that last-minute trip you’d written off since flights were too expensive could still be on the cards.

Qantas’ Australia Red Tail Sale kicked off today (October 29) and runs until Wednesday, November 4 at 11.59pm AEDT, unless sold out prior. While typical sales block out busy travel periods, this one covers select dates between November 30, 2026 and September 30, 2027. That means you can actually snag bargains across the summer and winter school holidays, Christmas and New Year’s, and even Easter. Honestly, unreal!

One-way economy fares start at a breezy $99 – AKA the price of a date night – with 39 routes clocking in under $149. Those flying out of Sydney can score flights to Ballina (Byron Bay) from $99, or head to the Gold Coast, Brisbane or Melbourne from $129. Wanna discover a regional gem? Flights to Coffs Harbour, Orange, Tamworth and Albury are all going for less than $150.

Other standout fares to look out for include Brisbane to Hervey Bay and Adelaide to Kingscote (Kangaroo Island) from $109, Cairns to Townsville from $119, and Melbourne to Launceston from $129.

From the Red Centre to tropical reef hubs, plenty more regional gems are on sale, including Broken Hill, Mackay, Bendigo, Mildura, Hamilton Island, Uluṟu and Learmonth. You can explore more destinations and dates in Qantas' Australia Red Tail Sale here.
