Nail artist Marta Machado is expanding her concept with the opening of a second Nails n’Roll shop, this time in Cascais, following the success of its debut in Miraflores. The space moves away from the usual minimalism in neutral tones, opting instead for a clear 1990s and 2000s California vibe, with purple walls, a ceiling covered in yellow smiley faces, posters of icons from the era – including Britney Spears, the Spice Girls and Blink-182 – and a soundtrack dominated by hip hop and punk rock. Specialising in nail art and gel-polish manicures using Portuguese brand Inocos, the service menu also includes pedicures and eyebrow and eyelash treatments.
