Whereas the Drake Hotel’s Palm Court is grand and regal, this lower-level bar is small, intimate and sultry. Some people treat it as a dinner place—there’s a perfectly good menu of sandwiches and the like. But we think the live jazz and dimmed lighting lends itself much more to hushed conversation and cocktails than to burgers and beer.
