We might have rolled our eyes at the vintage stylings of Scott Harris’s doughnut shop (which also has takeout-only operations in Wicker Park and the Gold Coast). But after tasting the shop’s practically perfect old-fashioned doughnut, we aren’t rolling our eyes at anything. True, the red velvet doughnut is somewhat forgettable. But you’ll think about the tart raspberry glazed, the crunchy and sweet PB&J, and the quadruple-chocolate specimens for days.
