Review
When all around is wicker and swizzle sticks, old Kiva is an honest-to-goodness bar. It says so on the wall (‘It’s A Bar!’) and is as good as its word, playing old rock and roll faves, and funk and jazz tunes in a loud, intimate, stone room. True, it also displays the lyrics to ‘Imagine’, a cheap toy guitar and peace signs, unforgivable trespasses anywhere else – but with music this good and drinking this serious, they must be having us on. Just behind the quay in a narrow alley.
