Review
'Writing about music is like dancing about architecture'; so goes the oft-quoted remark attributed to American comedian Martin Mull. This has certainly never bothered Rockmark, a boutique bookshop devoted to tomes about music – mostly of the rock and pop variety. It stocks a wider selection of English-language titles than many other European bookshops (we counted three different histories of Joy Division/New Order/Factory Records), alongside all manner of biographies, autobiographies and songbooks, as well as T-shirts. Now in a new location beside Spunk, one of Zagreb's most revered cult music bars, it’s definitely in a niche of its own.
