Kennedy Town’s beloved pizzeria Piccolo, which had been serving wood-fired pizzas and pasta since 2011 on Davis Street, was asked to move to make way for a residential building. So, they did and renamed themselves Trattoria Piccolo, a Venetian-style cicchetti bar offering Italian bites, pizza, and pasta, as well as Italian wines, artisanal spirits and spritzes. The cicchetti snack menu changes every day, but some of our favourites include the hamachi crudo with smoked artichoke and samphire ($85), pork ragu suppli ($50), guanciale and soft Japanese egg pizza ($110), and a top-quality affogato ($50) that you’ll find yourself making room for.
