Established in 2007, santralistanbul is an arts and culture complex located at the upper end of the Golden Horn. The centre consists of an amphitheatre, a museum of energy, concert halls and a public library. It is situated on the Silahtarağa campus of Istanbul Bilgi University, which formerly housed the first power plant of the Ottoman Empire.
