Time Out says

This Victorian-era Clapton pub has gone under more names than we care to remember, from its original life as The Cricketers to The Mermaid, The Black Hen and even a stint as LGBT+ sports bar Wing and a Prayer. It’s now reached its final - and perfect - form; an trad-feeling Irish pub called Moylett’s. Come for cheap-ish pints of Guinness (£5.50 is a steal in the ghastly age of the £8 pint), as well as a weekly chess club, a basement club, and regular supper clubs and residencies spotlighting emerging chefs. Recent guests include former Kiln chef Gareth Chambers and his Irish Shpice pop-up which served serious spice bags from Lunar New Year through to St Patrick’s Day.

Time Out tip

Want to make a crawl out of it? The pub is just around the corner from Clapton Hart, Blondies and My Neighbours the Dumplings.

RECOMMENDED: These are the best Irish pubs in London.
