Grab your goggles and dust off your poles – peak ski season is fast approaching and Eurostar is bringing back its service to the French Alps for another year.

Eurostar Snow, which runs from London all the way to Bourg-Saint-Maurice in the southeast of France (with one change), will return on December 20 and run until April 4.

The special alpine service will depart from St Pancras every Saturday at 9.01am and there’ll be an easy connection at Lille for passengers to head on through the French Alps towards Bourg-Saint-Maurice. On the way, the train stops by Chambéry, Albertville, Moûtiers, Aime-La-Plagne, Landry. All in all, the journey takes roughly eight hours.

To get back to London, trains will leave Bourg-Saint-Maurice on Saturdays at 1.45pm or Sundays at 10.54pm.

Skiers will be glad to know that the train has generous luggage allowance, including two suitcases, one piece of hand luggage, and skis or a snowboard at no extra cost. Like any other Eurostar service, there’s also a Eurostar Café on board both the trains from London to Lille and Lille to Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

At the moment, tickets for Eurostar Snow start at £125 one-way. Premier tickets, which include lounge access, extra spacious seats, fine dining and drinks, start from £436.60. Find out more and book a trip on Eurostar Snow here
