Market Bookshop has been a regular at London carboot sales for years. You may know it from browsing the weekend stalls at markets in Peckham, Chiswick or Ladbroke Grove, to name but a few. But now, the bookseller’s nomadic days are over. It has found a permanent home on Exmouth Market.

The business announced last week that it is taking over the small stand previously occupied by Exmouth Cultural Kiosk, outside 70 Exmouth Market (next to the Coin Laundry bar). To reflect its new address, it has been renamed Kiosk Bookshop.

At the kiosk, you’ll find all of the shop’s usual offerings – secondhand titles, vintage magazines, rare volumes and beautiful first editions spanning fiction, art, architecture, theatre, photography, esoterica and more. One day, you might pick up an old collection of Edgar Allan Poe stories, the next, an art exhibition catalogue from the 1960s or a scientific pop-up book from the eighties.

The kiosk officially launched on October 2 and will be open for business every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12pm to 6pm.
