Thanks to the Eurostar, travel from London across the Channel is ridiculously convenient. We can get to the likes of Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels in one easy train journey, with loads of luggage and without the hassle of airports.

But if you want to go on to Italy, Czech Republic or any German cities that aren’t Cologne, Aachen and Düsseldorf, you’ve previously had to book those tickets on an entirely separate site. Not any more.

A brand-new booking tool from night train operator European Sleeper lets you combine a cross-Channel ticket with night train services from Brussels. That means you can take the Eurostar to Belgium and transfer to a European Sleeper for cities like Berlin, Prague, Milan or Amsterdam without all the faff of buying separate tickets from different websites.

The new integrated tool is thanks to a partnership between European Sleeper and Dutch train ticket platform Choo-Choo. It allows travellers to search for connections that are compatible with European Sleeper routes beyond its own network and offers suggestions for suitable trains and transfer advice.

Other destinations that the European Sleeper serves include Lake Como, Dresden and Hamburg. Obviously, the price of the tickets will depend on your final destination. The initial Eurostar to Brussels starts at £51 one-way while tickets for the European Sleeper start at £42.

Choo-Choo chief executive Manuela Talana said of the launch: ‘This new partnership between Choo-Choo and European Sleeper allows us to realise our mission to make train travel across Europe as hassle-free and accessible as possible.’
