Oui Madame

Oui Madame is an evenings-only modern European restaurant in Highbury & Islington, built around seasonal sharing plates, expressive wines and a room that feels more like a neighbourhood dining room than a destination spot. Candlelit tables, low lighting and close-up service create a relaxed, intimate atmosphere that’s ideal for date nights, catch-ups with friends and longer, lingering dinners.

The menu is tight and ingredient-led. Expect dishes such as beef tartare with gochujang and pear, tuna tataki with yuzu-soy and shimeji, burnt carrot with savoury oats, alongside larger plates designed for the centre of the table. The cooking leans on classical technique but isn’t afraid of Mediterranean warmth or flashes of East Asian acidity when a dish calls for it.

Dinner runs Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm across a relaxed two-floor space, with genuinely attentive service and a carefully curated wine list mixing familiar European regions with a handful of more characterful, off-beat bottles.
