A series of actresses audition for the role of Nina in The Seagull for a charismatic but sinister director in this writing debut from celebrated indie director Caroline Williams, which is decribed as ‘a meta-theatrical fever dream on coercion, power and the quest for creative expression’. It’s an intriguing prospect, and the longest run a show has had at the mercurial Battersea Arts Centre in quite some time.
