Situated right on the river in west London is Fulham Pier, the capital’s newest destination offering everything from food and drink to shopping and events. This Christmas, the must-visit oasis hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the regular tourist traps has transformed into a magical cabin in the woods, complete with wreath-making, a Christmas market and a live performance from TikTok star James B. Partridge to kickstart the festivities. And that’s just the beginning of the oh-so magical goings-on. Just in time to get in the spirit of things, we’ve rounded up the most holly jolly fun to be had for all the family.

1. Enjoy a festive roster of activities

Kickstart the festivities at Fulham Pier with its full roster of festive things to see and do. From beanie-making classes (yes, really) to Vivaldi's Four Seasons by Candlelight, there's something for everyone to enjoy on the riverside this Christmas. Big fan of Santa? Join Santa’s Brunch for a fun-filled feast before heading to Santa’s Roller Disco to test out your skills on the dance floor.

2. Tick everyone off your list

Handcrafted gifts, edible treats, decorative treasures – there’s something for everyone at the pop-up festive market on December 13 and 14. Celebrating the best local makers and producers, you can start – and finish! – your Christmas shopping by getting everything you need under one twinkling roof. Grab a mulled wine and get shopping.

3. Make your own decorations

This year, swap ready-made decorations that everyone has with something special you’ve made yourself. From statement wreaths for the door or fireplace to stylish baubles you can hang year after year – not forgetting conversation-starter crackers for the table – there’s a raft of crafty masterclasses to help you make your own seasonal touches. But the best bit? It’s a chance to do something creative together with loved ones.

4. Tuck into a festive feast

Eat, drink and be merry with an aperitif at Flo Bar before heading to Brasserie Constance – headed up by Michelin-starred chef Adam Byatt. Its festive menu features seasonal British dishes, like roast goose and parsnips and clementine and stem ginger trifle, both served up with flair. From coronation chicken pâté en croûte to roast saddle of venison and brill baked on the bone – not to mention the treacle, date and walnut tart – there’s plenty to tickle your taste buds, festive flavours or not. Afterwards, why not raise a toast to the most wonderful time of the year with a Baileys Spiced Hot Chocolate or a Gingerbread Mulled Cider at the London Essence Cocktail Bar?

5. Listen to a story from Santa

It wouldn’t be Christmas without a sighting of Santa and luckily, he’ll do more than make an appearance at Fulham Pier with a storytelling session for little ones and big kids alike. From December 20-22, gather round, listen to his favourite tales and allow your imagination to soar…
