Take a walk through London right now and you’ll see the fledgling signs of Christmas spirit everywhere: advent calendars on the shelves, chilly mornings, bobble hats on heads, baubles in shop windows – the lot. With Halloween in the rearview mirror, it’s time to hunker down with a mince pie (or three) and plan your holiday activities. But, as every Londoner knows, no festive itinerary is complete without a trip to Regent Street.
Each year, the ‘Mile of Style’ enjoys a makeover in the form of dazzling light displays. This season, the iconic shopping destination is taking it one step further with a day dedicated to food, activities and parties galore for all. On December 6, you can kiss goodbye to traffic as Regent Street will shut to all except those on foot (or flying reindeer). Instead, stationary London buses will arrive on the street from 2pm until 9pm – each playing host to different festive activities that you don’t want to miss.
The Gift Wrap Station and Festive Crafts Bus
Surprise the family this year by presenting them with picture-perfect gifts. Located between Gymshark and On-Running, this bus will host ticketed wreath-making sessions on the top deck - so don’t forget to book in advance. Plus, down below there's helpful, walk-in gift-wrapping from the experts – just show a valid receipt for your item bought from around Regent Street and St James's to claim.
The Spirit of Christmas Selfie Station
If there are no pics, did it even happen? Situated on the iconic Regent Street curve, head to The Selfie Bus to snap the perfect shot. Expect perfect lighting to spice up your Instagram feed.
The Choose Love Disco Bus
Walk to the top of Regent Street outside the Choose Love store and you’ll find the Choose Love Party Bus. Enjoy a whole host of DJs playing an eclectic mix of festive and popular tunes to help get you into the Christmas spirit!
The Food Buses
After all of that shopping, wrapping, selfie-taking and dancing, you’ll be ravenous. Nip over to one of the food stalls to refuel on festive snacks and drinks – we recommend the Fudge Buses for an extra sweet treat.
