All eyes are on hockey these days (thanks, Heated Rivalry!), but just in case you needed an extra push to attend a game IRL, the LA Kings have several upcoming themed nights that might sway you.

Chief among them is the February 4 Hello Kitty Night, a crossover so perfectly calibrated to this moment in hockey and pop culture that it feels inevitable. That night, when the Kings take on the Seattle Kraken at Crypto.com Arena, the first 10,000 fans through the doors will receive a Hello Kitty paper crown, while ticket-pack buyers can score an exclusive LA Kings x Hello Kitty plush. Cute-meets-competitive has always been an L.A. sweet spot, and Hello Kitty Night feels destined to draw both diehard hockey fans and newcomers who might be there as much for the merch as the matchup.

While Hello Kitty Night is likely to dominate social feeds, it’s just one night in a packed slate of themed games that reflect the city’s many identities. The next specialty night arrives on January 14 with Dodgers Night, when the Kings host the Vegas Golden Knights. The ongoing partnership between two of L.A.’s most recognizable sports franchises continues with ticket packs offering an exclusive Dodgers x LA Kings crewneck sweatshirt. Last season saw Dodgers players join the celebration in person, and the crossover energy is expected to return.

A few nights later, on January 20, the Kings welcome the New York Rangers for K-Town Night. Following the viral success of the Koreatown Senior Center’s national anthem performance during the 2025 playoffs, this evening nods to one of L.A.’s most influential neighborhoods and its growing presence within hockey culture.

Country Night rides into town on February 26 when the Kings face the Edmonton Oilers in a playoff rematch. The first 10,000 fans will receive a Kings cowboy hat, turning downtown L.A. into the “Wild West Coast” for one night only.

Galaxy Night arrives on April 1, bringing another L.A. sports team into the mix as the Kings host the St. Louis Blues on April Fools’ Day. Just over a week later comes First Responders Night on April 9, honoring those who serve the community in one of the final home games of the regular season.

The season wraps up on April 11 with Fan and Season Ticket Member Appreciation Night against Edmonton, complete with a felt pennant giveaway for the first 10,000 fans.

Until our hockey boyfriends come back for season two of Heated Rivalry, we'll just have to make do with watching the real thing—with the added bonus of the occasional felt pennant and cowboy hat as a treat.
