North Figueroa Bookshop

Located at the end of a particularly happening stretch of Highland Park, North Figueroa Bookshop is a neighborhood bookstore that’s a joint venture between two local presses: Rare Bird and Unnamed Press. The shop stocks a bit of everything—both new and used—in addition to their own titles, offering an easy way to support L.A.’s indie publishing community. An annex in the back serves as a gallery, where you’ll find art exhibitions, lively book launches and readings, book clubs and even a regular knitting circle.
