Time Out says

If you already know the original London outpost, you’ll be familiar with The Ned’s love of decadent design and effortless hosting. In New York, that formula translates into a hotel that’s as much about socializing as sleeping, with multiple dining spaces including Cecconi’s and Little Ned. Guests also get access to members-only areas, which adds to the sense of being in the thick of things. The location seals the deal: Midtown landmarks are close by, while Downtown’s late-night energy is an easy hop away.

Why should I stay at The Ned NoMad?

Fans of The Ned’s brand of hospitality will appreciate the familiar touches. Bathrooms are stocked with generously sized products from Soho House’s Cowshed, while breakfast in bed arrives on silver platters alongside floral china tea sets. Access to the members’ spaces is a particular highlight, especially Ned’s Club Downstairs, decorated with whimsical, hand-painted murals by Brooklyn-based artist b.chehayeb.

What are the rooms like at The Ned NoMad?

There are six room categories, from compact Crash Pads designed for solo stays to spacious Studios with a warehouse feel, plenty of natural light and artistic flourishes such as painter’s screens and vintage writing desks. I stayed in a Deluxe, a comfortable 34 square meters with a plush king-size bed, freestanding bath and walk-in shower. Large windows frame classic New York views, while Beaux-Arts details nod to the building’s history. My only gripe? The room is split with a huge divider, hued in dark red velvet and embellished with black swirls—it was bold, and a little too intense for the room.

What’s the restaurant at The Ned NoMad like?

For a simple, classic Italian guaranteed to please the crowds try Cecconi’s, a global Soho House staple with a menu of antipasti, fresh pasta dishes and pizzas. For up-market fine dining, The Dining Room is open daily for dinner offering signature grilled dishes alongside the likes of oysters and caviar, in an atmospheric, richly-toned space. I stopped by Little Ned for a mix of American and globally-inspired plates like duck wings with an orange BBQ glaze, the Ned burger and truffle fries, finished with an iconic banana split. An intimate mezzanine restaurant, candles were a-flickering and a throng of buzzy, chatty New Yorkers propped up the bar—it’s all very “Big Apple.”

What’s the service like at The Ned NoMad like?

As a luxury hotel in the midst of Manhattan, you’d expect the level of service to be high and happily the team at The Ned NoMad don’t disappoint. Check-in was smooth, luggage delivery was swift and there was a fruit basket and personalized note waiting in the room—a nice touch. I even asked for a last-minute, Friday-night dinner reservation at Little Ned and the restaurant manager moved things around to accommodate me, with a smile and plenty of checking in afterwards. These guys make hosting look like a breeze.

What are the facilities at The Ned NoMad?

The Ned NoMad delivers when it comes to dining so do take advantage of the member’s spaces during your stay. But, as for facilities, while the London venue leans into extras like a pool, spa and beauty parlor, here it’s more about hospitality—so, no need to bring your swimmers. Extras to note include live music performances in the Atrium and specials like “Negroni hour” with discounted drinks. Or, if you’re planning a work event, The Library, The Broadway Dome and The Magic Room are all gorgeous spaces to book.

What’s the area like around The Ned NoMad?

It’s one of the best in the city! Here, you’re surrounded by tourist musts like the Empire State Building, Madison Square Park and EATALY, an Italian foodie marketplace in the Flatiron Building. You can walk down to Koreatown, across to the High Line (perfect for an early morning walk with coffee to-go) and up to Macy’s, all on foot.

Why you should book a stay at The Ned NoMad

If you’re looking for a vibrant, creative hub that delivers on luxury with a span of dining options, The Ned NoMad is for you. It’s buzzy, glamorous and lends itself well to late-night frolicking in the middle of Manhattan—what’s not to love?
