Running 26.2 miles is an unusually demanding way to earn a free burger. Fortunately, this Sunday’s New York City Marathon comes with enough other perks to sweeten the arrangement: a roast dinner, museum admission and even a tattoo.

The race returns on November 1, marking 50 years of its five-borough course. Businesses across town are celebrating with freebies before and after the big day. Keep your bib, medal and registration email handy: they’re about to become surprisingly useful forms of currency.

NYC Marathon 2026 deals you can score ahead of Sunday’s race:

1. Free coffee and electrolytes from Tracksmith

Tracksmith’s free October 31 shakeout at The Brooklyn Circus (361 Canal Street) includes post-run Nespresso coffee and Skratch recovery refreshments. The event runs 9–11 am, with a leisurely 5K starting at 9:30 am. Register ahead and travel light; there’s no bag check. Matter is also offering complimentary electrolytes for marathon weekend.

2. Complimentary Sunday roast at Chelsea Living Room

For a bigger reward, Chelsea Living Room at 243 West 14th Street is offering finishers a complimentary Sunday roast from 2pm until closing on race day. Show your medal for Wagyu top sirloin, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, vegetables, stuffing and Irish stout gravy. You’ll need a reserved seat at the bar or restaurant and the offer covers the medal holder only. (A DJ is also on deck from 6–10 pm, should your legs have anything left to contribute.)

3. Free brunch at Magic Hour Rooftop

Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge has both ends of the weekend covered: on October 31, runners showing marathon registration get 50 percent off its 10-pancake Super Stack at brunch. On November 1, show your bib or finisher medal for one complimentary brunch entrée plus a Magic Mimosa or cold-pressed juice.

Shake Shack’s runner offer lasts November 1–7: Registered participants receive a unique redemption code by email from NYRR for a qualifying ShackBurger or Veggie Shack. Redeem in person at participating company-owned locations; app and online orders don’t qualify.

5. 20%-off hand rolls at Sakasama

If you prefer hand rolls, Sakasama is offering medal holders 20 percent off their individual check.

6. Free frozen margaritas at Rosa Mexicano

On November 1, all Rosa Mexicano locations in the city will provide a complimentary frozen pomegranate margarita or cucumber-mint refresco with an entrée purchase and a flash of your medal.

7. On-the-house French fries from Pinky Swear

9. A second ticket free at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is offering a second ticket free with code "NYRR26" on admissions purchased October 31–November 7.

10. 40% off admission to Top of the Rock

For skyline time, registered runners can buy $26 Top of the Rock timed-admission tickets (usually priced at $42) at the box office October 30–November 2 with a bib or proof of enrollment.

11. 30% off tickets to SUMMIT One Vanderbilt

SUMMIT One Vanderbilt offers 30 percent off up to four Ascent tickets for runners, friends and family through November 8 with code NYRR2026.

And post-race recovery has its own freebies: November 1–3, participating Lush shops—Lexington, Columbus Circle, Upper West Side and Union Square—will give marathon participants an After Massage Bar or Salt Water Soother Bath Bomb with a medal or confirmation email, while supplies last. The Vitamin Shoppe is offering finishers a free protein bar November 2–6 with their medal.

Finally, there’s a souvenir you can’t accidentally leave on the subway. Hustle Butter Tattoo Gallery, at 132 Crosby Street, is offering finishers free marathon-inspired flash tattoos November 2–4. Bring both your bib and medal.

If permanent ink feels like a bigger commitment than your training plan, Tracksmith has complimentary finisher posters personalized with your time at The Brooklyn Circus and Brooklyn Trackhouse on Sunday and Monday, while supplies last. Wall space, at least, requires no recovery period.
