This NYC go-to was just crowned the most festive holiday restaurant in the U.S.

According to Time Out, one New York restaurant goes above and beyond, transforming into a full-on explosion of holiday cheer: Rolf's, officially named the most festive restaurant in America.

The tiny German eatery in Gramercy somehow packs in more holiday spirit per square foot than most city blocks do. The ceiling is hidden behind dense clusters of ornaments. Glass baubles dangle like low-hanging fruit. Figurines peek out from garlands that wrap every inch of the room. Lights flicker everywhere you look: you feel like you're dining inside a Christmas tree.

The holiday decor enhances the already charming vibe. Rolf’s has an old-world feel to it, filled with heavy wooden tables, framed portraits and a menu of European comfort fare that includes schnitzel, sausages and potato pancakes. A mug of mulled wine and the hum of happy diners complete the holiday picture.

Rolf's isn't the only NYC restaurant to make the list. Coming in at number two is Tavern on the Green, which transforms into a winter wonderland of twinkling lights, festive decor and unbeatable views of Central Park come November each year. Cava in Southington, Connecticut rounds out the top three with its extravagant decor and holiday-themed dining rooms.
