This foodie haven is a welcome addition to an underserved neighborhood—"I wanted to sell everything I'd need to survive if I ever got kicked out of my rent-stabilized apartment in Cobble Hill," explains owner Joe Brancaccio. That means D'amico coffee, freshly baked breads from Caputo Bakery, and a to-go menu of housemade prepared foods—like whole-roasted bronzini with sweet-and-sour couscous—that changes daily. In addition, pick up a varied selection of sandwiches, including a meatball sub with pine nuts, raisins and fennel.
