This cozy Upper East Side bookstore was reportedly one of the inspirations for the film You've Got Mail, and has a well-chosen selection of classic and contemporary literary fiction and nonfiction. If you're craving the experience of wandering through a shop that's clearly been around for decades (since 1978 to be exact), and that's filled with books of all kinds, you can't get more idyllic than this.
