Time Out says

Not looking to drink this New Year's Eve? No problem. Run as if 2025 were chasing you (and truly, can you imagine a scarier horror concept?) at New York Road Runners’ annual four-mile Midnight Run, which provides credit to finishers toward the New York City Marathon. At midnight, start your trek with hundreds of other festive joggers at Central Park and take in the gorgeous fireworks display at the end. (Trust us: It’s a hell of a lot healthier than binge drinking and hooking up with a rando. Plus, you'll get a nice New Balance long-sleeve shirt out of it.)

You can run for $55 if you're a member of New York Road Runners, otherwise its $70 per person. You can register here. And don't forget to wear your New Year's Eve party gear!
