La cartelera de musicales porteña de esta temporada se mueve por caminos bastante diversos: hay rock, ópera, clásicos revisitados, humor, historias de amor y personajes que se enfrentan a sus propios fantasmas. Más que grandes superproducciones, aparecen propuestas que buscan correrse de los lugares más previsibles del género y explorar distintos cruces entre música y teatro. Algunas apuestan por formatos íntimos y otras por mezclar lenguajes —del concierto al music hall, de la performance a la comedia— para contar historias desde lugares diferentes. Para descubrir qué tiene cada una, estas son algunas de las obras que te recomendamos en los escenarios porteños.

Octubre llega con una cartelera de teatro off que tiene un poco de todo: familias al borde del colapso, personajes que cargan con su pasado, historias de  Argentina, vínculos difíciles y situaciones que se van de las manos. También hay lugar para el absurdo, la comedia y esas obras que empiezan por un lado y terminan llevándote por otro. En esta selección reunimos 20 obras de teatro off para ver durante el mes, en salas de distintos barrios porteños y con propuestas para salir de la rutina —y, de paso, de la cartelera de siempre.

La escena gastronómica porteña sigue en movimiento. En los últimos meses abrieron restaurantes, cafeterías, bares, pizzerías y nuevos espacios que amplían la oferta en la ciudad. Desde proyectos independientes hasta marcas consolidadas que siguen creciendo, estas son las nuevas aperturas que vale la pena conocer.

Octubre llega con una cartelera que pone al cine argentino en primer plano, con nuevas películas protagonizadas por Diego Peretti, Wanda Nara y Nico Furtado. Pero también hay grandes estrenos internacionales: el nuevo film de Alejandro Iñárritu con Tom Cruise, el regreso de Cars por sus 20 años, Clayface de DC Studios y Wildwood, una de las apuestas de fantasía del mes. Terror, animación, superhéroes y clásicos que vuelven a la pantalla grande se reparten la cartelera de un mes con bastante para elegir —y unas cuantas excusas para volver al cine.

October arrives with a lineup that puts Argentine cinema front and center, with new films starring Diego Peretti, Wanda Nara and Nico Furtado. Buenos Aires’ food scene continues to evolve. In recent months, restaurants, cafés, bars, pizzerias and new spaces have opened across the city, expanding the range of places to eat and drink. From independent projects to established brands continuing to grow, these are the latest openings worth knowing about.

Kanka Cocina is part steakhouse, part bodegón and very much a home. Meat takes center stage, with unusual cuts and pieces that arrive at the table with fire as their ally. But there is much more around the grill: recipes with a homemade spirit, furniture that looks like it has a story to tell and a plant-filled terrace. There is something about the atmosphere that invites you to take your time and linger over the sobremesa. From the outside, you wouldn't necessarily guess what's happening behind the doors. Located on Avenida Dorrego, the façade is easy to overlook, but once inside, a warm space filled with objects that seem to have come from a classic Buenos Aires home gives the restaurant a sort of Mercado de Pulgas feel, thanks in part to the flea market right next door. There are pieces of furniture from different eras, decorative objects, wooden tables and old-fashioned-looking tableware that complete the feeling of eating in someone's home. Nothing feels overly calculated and, precisely because of that, the whole place feels welcoming and lived-in. Walking into Horta feels a little like discovering a secret. From the street, the restaurant is easy to miss, but as soon as you step through the door, you find a warm and inviting PH with wooden tables, plants, good music and an open kitchen that brings energy to the dining room, with a beautiful patio at the back featuring a large communal table surrounded by greenery. But if there’s one thing that makes you want to come back, it’s the food: a seasonal menu with defined flavors, original combinations and impeccable execution. We went to try it and left thinking about several of the dishes we had, especially the venison cigars, the beef cheeks and those tortellini with Parmesan mousse, which are truly memorable. Horta opened in Villa Crespo in August 2024, founded by Clara Chavarría and Lucas Díaz, a couple and business partners. Seven months after opening, it received one of those accolades that can change the course of a restaurant: it was included among the recommended restaurants in the 2025 Michelin Guide, a distinction it received again in 2026. These are the series and movies arriving on streaming platforms this month.

Kanka Cocina tiene algo de parrilla, algo de bodegón y bastante de casa. La carne es la gran protagonista, con cortes poco habituales y piezas que llegan a la mesa con el fuego como aliado. Pero alrededor de la parrilla hay mucho más: recetas con espíritu casero, muebles que parecen tener historia y una terraza llena de plantas. Hay algo en el ambiente que invita a comer sin apuro y quedarse en la sobremesa. Desde afuera no se anticipa demasiado lo que sucede puertas adentro. Sobre avenida Dorrego, la fachada pasa bastante desapercibida, pero al entrar aparece un espacio cálido, lleno de objetos que parecen encontrados en una vivienda clásica  que le dan al restaurante una especie de aire al Mercado de Pulgas que tiene al lado. Hay muebles de distintas épocas, piezas decorativas, mesas de madera y una vajilla de aspecto antiguo que termina de construir esa sensación de estar comiendo en la casa de alguien.
