Time Out says

As Singapore's very first 5,000-seat performing arts theatre, this venue plays host to a wide selection of music events, theatre and dance performances, conferences, seminars, community events and more. Built in a traditional horseshoe shape, the auditorium features custom-designed seating with stalls and two circle levels. Best of all, it's located just above the bustling ground levels of restaurants and shops at The Star Vista.

What’s on

Secondhand Serenade

If your teenage years were soundtracked by MySpace playlists, tear-streaked lyrics and earnest acoustic strums, this one’s for you. Secondhand Serenade is celebrating 20 years of feels with a one-night-only Singapore show on January 24 at The Star Theatre. Fronted by John Vesely, the acoustic-rock project that gave us 'Vulnerable', 'Your Call' and the forever-anthem 'Fall for You' is here to reopen emotional floodgates – but in a good, cathartic way. Expect stripped-back arrangements, big singalong moments and a nostalgic trip through two decades of heartbreak, hope and healing. It's also your chance to bring back that old emo fringe.

Dream Theater

Progressive metal heavyweights Dream Theater are storming back to Singapore and they’re bringing 40 years of head-banging musicianship with them. Riding high on the success of their 40th Anniversary World Tour and latest album Parasomnia, the Grammy Award-winning band returns with a career-spanning set packed with virtuosic solos, shifting time signatures and high intensity. It also marks the first Southeast Asia reunion of the band’s classic lineup since Mike Portnoy’s return, with James LaBrie, John Petrucci, John Myung and Jordan Rudess all on deck. For longtime fans and prog converts alike, this is a masterclass in metal history – loud, intricate and gloriously uncompromising.

Josh Groban

Tony, Emmy, and five-time Grammy Award-nominated singer, songwriter, and actor Josh Groban is back – and it’s been a decade in the making. The velvet-voiced powerhouse launches his 2026 Gems World Tour, marking his first global tour in 10 years and a long-awaited return to Singapore. Expect a sweeping, career-spanning evening that leans into the songs that made him a household name, from ‘You Raise Me Up’ to ‘To Where You Are’, delivered with that unmistakable blend of vocal heft and heartfelt storytelling. Fresh off the release of ‘Hidden Gems’, which is essentially a love letter to deep cuts and fan favourites, this tour promises an intimate set with big emotions and spine-tingling moments.
