Audio equipment giant JBL is stepping out of the sound booth and into the café scene with Sip & Sound, a one-week-only sensory takeover at PPP Coffee in New Bahru, running from July 11 to 17.
What is it?
JBL’s first-ever café takeover isn’t just about blasting bangers while you sip a latte. It’s also all about elevating your daily brew with music, mood and some very tasty tech – namely the brand-new JBL Tour One M3 Smart Tx headphones, which are making their Singapore debut. Designed to block out the noise and let you tune into what matters – your playlist, your podcast, your peace – these ear candies bring next-level comfort, noise-cancelling smarts and crisp sounds wherever you are.
You can test drive the headphones at the Sip & Sound Record Store, where you can pull out vinyl-style sleeves, scan the Spotify code, connect your device with a pair of JBL headphones, and listen to the curated playlists from music lovers and creators, including local singer-songwriter Haneri.
Be sure to explore other adaptive noise-cancelling headphones there, including the versatile Live and Tune series, which seamlessly blends rich, immersive sound with your daily rhythm.
What’s on the menu?
You can look forward to a specially curated menu. Perk up with the citrusy orange latte (from $7.50), featuring PPP Coffee's signature blends and house-made orange syrup. Or beat the heat with the refreshing strawberry mojito fizz ($8.50). Both are best paired with the Noisette Chocolat cake ($10) and the nutty, fragrant black sesame choux ($6).
What else is there?
Snap-happy types will want to hit up the JBL photobooth, complete with a cool train-inspired backdrop, only available from July 11 to 13. Go wild with the poses – there’s no cap on how many snaps you can take.
