It’s sunset at The Sundowner’s cosy three-storey home at Siglap. Founded during the peak of the pandemic in late 2020, the urban farm and nature experience centre has since bid goodbye to its yolk-yellow space – and based on a closure announcement post on Instagram, a steep 130 percent rental hike is to blame. But don’t get your hive in a buzz just yet, because the beloved couple-run business, arguably best known for its bee experiences, will see the sun rising yet again at its brand new location at Old Bukit Timah Fire Station.
All things considered, perhaps this ‘forced’ second chapter is a blessing in disguise, because the new space is much larger than the previous. This means loads more space for the bee colonies; proper kitchens to aid in food-related workshops like pizza-making, cocktail-mixing, and coffee-roasting; and more comfortable set-ups for craft sessions where you get to create DIY terrariums, zen garden, and beeswax candles.
To celebrate this fresh beginning, The Sundowner is hosting a Christmas Market on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 10am to 6pm. Gear up for fresh farm produce, gelato, cocktails, free pizza, market booths with handmade crafts and more. The highlight? A whole schedule of 30-minute mini workshops, ranging from bee encounters to mead-making, kombucha-brewing and even ice baths, all at just $20 a pop. Consider this a teaser to The Sundowner’s usual offerings before you choose which full-fledged experience to try. Kids and pets are more than welcome.
The Sundowner is now located at 260 Upper Bukit Timah Road, Old Bukit Timah Fire Station. Check out its latest programme line-up and make your booking here.
