Chinese New Year 2026 takeaways and deliveries in Singapore

1. Min Jiang

What is it? Trusty Cantonese and Sichuan restaurant in Singapore with two locations – one in Goodwood Park Hotel, which has been around since 1982, and a second, more contemporary outlet in Dempsey.

Why we love it: The selection is staggeringly wide. Apart from Chinese New Year snacks and yu sheng, Min Jiang offers appetiser platters, large dishes for sharing, and even full-course menus to enjoy from the comfort of your own home. The assortment varies across both Goodwood Park and Dempsey outlets as well, so you’re sure to find something you like. Kickstart the celebrations with the Five Treasures Appetiser Platter, which feeds up to six ($168 at Goodwood Park and $161.30 at Dempsey). The vibrant display features everything from chilled baby abalone with spicy lime dressing and pan-fried Iberico pork belly, to crispy soft shell crab with pork floss.

Time Out tip: For ultimate convenience, order Min Jiang Dempsey's six-course menu ($749.90), which serves up to six. The feast includes everything from salted egg fish skin yu sheng to deep-fried sea perch, claypot rice, and an abalone and seafood pot as the centrepiece.

2. Yì by Jereme Leung

What is it? The Michelin-worthy Yì by Jereme Leung’s travel-friendly three-tiered Yu Sheng set now comes dressed in a luxe red vegan leather carrier, complete with intricate floral cut-outs inspired by the Chinese restaurant’s dreamy entrance of 1,000 hand-strung blooms. It’s made for toasting, tossing and showing off – whether you’re hosting at home or rocking up to a reunion dinner.

Why we love it: The star of the show is, as always, the signature Yunnan rose petal sauce. First launched in 2020 and still a firm favourite, it’s fragrant, delicately sweet and beautifully balanced. We’re also eyeing the trio of Lunar New Year cakes, each thoughtfully crafted and rich in symbolism, from the fragrant water chestnut cake with lime to the comforting kabocha squash nian gao, and a luxe radish cake studded with sakura shrimp and dried scallops.

Time Out tip: Plan ahead, as takeaway orders need at least two days’ notice. The Yu Sheng and cakes are available now, with collection and delivery running from February 1 to March 3.

3. Homely Pot

What is it? Hot pot delivery service where everything's provided, from soup bases to ingredients, and even customisable dipping sauces.

Why we love it: It's as fuss-free as it gets. Homely Pot is the answer to all your Chinese New Year hot pot cravings, minus the prep work and clean-up. The homegrown business runs out of a small unit in Kovan, and it specialises in one thing: convenient, hearty hot pot sets, delivered straight to your house. Everything is included, and we mean everything, from soup bases to ingredients like assorted meats, vegetables, seafood, carbs, utensils, and even an array of condiments for you to craft your own dipping sauce. Sets can feed up to six people, and you can always add on ingredients depending on the size of your group.

4. Cherry Garden by Chef Fei

What is it? The 39-year-old Cherry Garden at Mandarin Oriental rebranded last year, now with two-Michelin-starred Chef Fei (who ran Jiang in Guangzhou) to its name.

Why we love it: The restaurant combines the best of Cantonese and Teochew cuisine – think seafood signatures, handcrafted dim sum and the like. This Chinese New Year, apart from the four set menus served at Cherry Garden, diners will also be able to take home a range of barbecue dishes and signature items, including a Chaoshan-style yu sheng with premium ingredients like Australian lobster, abalone and smoked salmon. Treat your guests to lip-smacking Cantonese barbecue, from crispy fried chicken with flaxseed, to roasted goose, suckling pig and pork belly. Plus, don't miss out on sharing specials like the salt-baked free-range yellow chicken, black pepper baked tiger prawns and more.

Time Out tip: Swap out plain rice this Chinese New Year for a luxurious helping of wagyu beef fried rice, topped with preserved radish for an extra savoury touch, and end the meal on a sweet note with Cherry Garden's red date glutinous rice cake – both items are takeaway exclusives.

Address: 5 Raffles Ave, Mandarin Oriental Singapore, Level 5, Singapore 039797

Greenwood Fish Market's yu sheng platters feed up to eight comfortably, with the standard salmon yu sheng going at $98 and the lobster yu sheng at $128. Each plate comes with a tangy house-made dressing of calamansi plum sauce and olive oil. Premium add-ons like king crab legs and oysters are also available at a top-up.
