It’s a grand spectacle every year when Singapore marks its birthday with the National Day Parade (NDP). And while scoring actual tickets to the main event can be tricky, there’s still a way to soak in the patriotic vibes and catch those dazzling fireworks without a seat at the Padang.
Besides National Day itself, there are a couple of NDP rehearsals and previews to catch the National Day fireworks.
The main fireworks display usually begins at 8.15pm, followed by the national anthem. Here's a detailed schedule of events based on previous NDP rehearsals:
During the recent rehearsal on June 14, the fireworks displays took place at approximately 7.33pm, 7.45pm and 7.58pm and 8.11pm for the grand finale. So if you're planning to head down for the upcoming rehearsals, take note of these timings and get a good spot in advance to catch the show.

Similar to previous years, there will be fireworks and celebrations at five heartland locations on August 10. Details have yet to be released, but here are last year’s locations for reference:
They were accompanied by carnivals, live performances, and static displays from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), and the Singapore Police Force (SPF).
Not attending NDP at the Padang? You can still catch the fireworks from multiple vantage points in Marina Bay. Read our guide to the best places to watch the NDP fireworks in Singapore.
This year, there are five official satellite spots that will also be screening the National Day Parade live so you can get in on all the patriotic action even if you didn't score seats to the parade. They are Gardens by the Bay, Marlion Park, Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza, Esplanande Theatres on the Bay and Singapore Sports Hub.
