One of the famed mosques within the city of Colombo; the Dewatagaha Mosque, built in 1820 is the resting place of His Holiness Seyedina As-Sheikh Seyed Usman Siddique Ibn Abdurrahman. Accredited with lovely architecture, it is one of the oldest mosques in Sri Lanka. Legend describes that a Saint re-filled a woman’s pot with oil that had spilled onto the ground. The Mosque is patronised by people of all faiths.
