St. Anthony’s Cathedral

Depicted as a lovely little oasis of peace amidst the bustling city of Kandy, the St Anthony’s Cathedral is a well renowned place of veneration. One of the oldest churches in Kandy, the foundation was laid by Rt Rev Abbot Cingolani in 1875; it demarks the opening of Kandy’s doors to mission groups during the colonial era.
