Situated in an outstanding example of Swiss 1930s modernist architecture, the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich is Switzerland's leading museum for design and visual communication. The refurbished main site on Ausstellungsstrasse presents the highlights of the institution's internationally acclaimed collection of over 500,000 objects from the history of design, from posters to graphics and objects, as well as exhibitions on the various design genres shaping everyday visual life. The new Swiss Design Lounge invites visitors to linger and try out contemporary Swiss furniture. There's also an education studio, museum café, shop and attractive adjacent park.
