In photos: Tokyo just got its first snowfall of 2022

Snow isn’t a common sight in Tokyo, but we’ve already got our first snowfall of 2022. Right as things were winding down from New Year’s celebrations and people were heading back to work, temperatures dropped to zero degrees in Tokyo today (January 6) and we’re expecting to see around 6cm of snow covering the ground, according to NHK. It’s been two years since the city last saw snow back in March 2020, and many Tokyoites went outside to capture the beautiful sight.
