This sleek café is a great spot to indulge in different varieties of matcha and coffee, with an interior that’s just as impressive as its drinks. The industrial-chic space feels as if it’s been carved out of the building, with striking boulders doubling as counters and chairs. The café will also open its second floor soon, adding more seating and space to enjoy your drinks.
On the tea side of things, Sabo offers a wide selection of matcha sourced from tea plantations across Japan, with a particular focus on building long-term relationships with producers and supporting cultivation. The lineup includes hand-picked matcha as well as original blends specially created for Sabo, available as a latte or straight matcha, hot or iced. As the selection changes with the seasons and availability, there’s always something new to try.
Matcha powder is available to buy in-store, making for a great souvenir. You can also pick up matcha-making essentials, including bamboo whisks and beautiful ceramic tea bowls from Toyama prefecture. Matcha as well as online-exlusive items can also be purchased online.
As for coffee, Sabo primarily stocks single-origin beans from Colombia, sourced directly through Sabo's relationships with producers. The selection spans a wide range of profiles, from fruity and full-bodied to coffees with a more balanced acidity and sweetness. Drinks are served as filter coffee or lattes, either hot or iced, with the lineup changing daily.
