Stop by the Seibu Tourist Information Centre Ikebukuro, located inside Ikebukuro Station, for a wealth of tips on things to do in the area and while travelling on the Seibu lines. You can usually find an English-speaking guide on hand (occasionally there are staff who speak other languages too – they'll be listed on the signboard on the information desk).
