The live action adaptation would premiere some time in 2028.

Great news, fam: There’s a new Fast & Furious adaptation coming to the small screen—and yes, Vin "Dom Toretto" Diesel is executive producing it.
Peacock announced earlier this month that it has greenlit a new scripted television series based on the beloved action franchise, with plans for a 2028 premiere, according to Variety.
The high-octane film series centered on the street-racing culture in Los Angeles has seen 11 films, including one spin-off movie, and an animated series Fast & Furious Spy Racers. And in 2028, it’ll premiere Fast Forever, the 12th film in the franchise.

Diesel—who has starred as series lead Dominic Toretto in nine of the F&F films, plus a cameo appearance in the third movie, 2006's The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift—says there’s clearly a desire for more.
The star said in May that fans “wanted us to expand the legacy characters, their stories,” according to Variety, and it only “became right” when Donna Langley (Chairman of NBCUniversal Entertainment and Chief Content Officer of NBCUniversal Studio Group) joined on to “protect the integrity of the characters, the international appeal, what makes us all feel like family.”
Diesel is an executive producer along with One Race’s Sam Vincent, the original film’s Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty, and Jeff Kirschenbaum and Chris Morgan. Mike Daniels (Sons of Anarchy, Shades of Blue, The Rockford Files) and Wolfe Coleman (Shades of Blue, 911: Lone Star) will serve as co-showrunners, pilot writers and executive producers.
