As the wise witch Aggie Cromwell once said: “Magic is really very simple, all you've got to do is want something and then let yourself have it.” And lo and behold: Fans will have a Halloweentown 5!

Based on the original 1998 Disney movie written by Paul Bernbaum, the follow-up film is on the way 20 years after the fourth installment.

While information about the plot and casting is not available yet, we do know that Lily Houghton (Forbidden Fruits) and Ryan Koehn (Gossip Girl) are writing the script.

The first film follows then-13-year-old Marnie Piper (played by Kimberly J. Brown) as she finds out that she descends from a line of powerful witches and must begin her magical training before her powers vanish forever. She must help her witchy grandmother Aggie Cromwell (the iconic Debbie Reynolds) save Halloweentown from evil forces before she even feels ready.

Subsequent sequels continued to follow Marnie—Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge, Halloweentown High and Return to Halloweentown—as she navigated her way through her new witchdom all the way into university, Witch U.

Brown, who played Marnie in the first three films before she was replaced by Sara Paxton, recently revealed she would love to return to the role and still doesn’t know why she didn’t in Return to Halloween Town.

“I get approached literally every day, whether it’s in person or on social media, asking me to do another one, and I’m like, ‘Guys, I am down.’ I have told Disney I’m down. They know we’re all down to do another one,” Brown told PauseRewind earlier this month. “It’s up to [Disney] at this point.”

Brown and Reynolds starred in the films along with Judith Hoag, Joey Zimmerman and Emily Roeske. Unfortunately, our Grandma Aggie will not return, as Reynolds died on December 28, 2016.

Details on Halloweentown 5 are scant but stay tuned for more news about the much-anticipated return to the magical realm. Get your brooms ready!
