Yes, a gridiron match-up *and* one of the globe's biggest rock bands.

Rock legends U2 are ready to beam into your living rooms on Thanksgiving Eve for a show that might rival the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
On Wednesday, November 25, the iconic Irish band will perform a special halftime show during the NFL Thanksgiving Eve Game between the Green Bay Packers and the Los Angeles Rams, which will stream live for the first time ever on Netflix.
RECOMMENDED: Netflix will stream live NFL games—what sport fans should know
The Packers and Rams will kick off at 8pm EST / 5pm PT at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California; halftime takes place 90 minutes to two hours after kickoff, so U2's set will likely start around 9:30pm to 10pm EST. Netflix users will get to hear the group's global hits like “With or Without You,” “I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For” “One,” “Beautiful Day” and “Sunday Bloody Sunday” live.
It’ll be the 50th anniversary of the 22-time Grammy Award winners and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, who last headlined the Super Bowl XXXVI halftime show at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans on February 3, 2002. It was only a few months after the 9/11 attacks, so the lads paid tribute with a projection of victims’ names, while lead singer Bono revealed an American flag in his jacket lining. The New England Patriots defeated the St. Louis Rams 20–17, with Adam Vinatieri kicking the game-winning 48-yard field goal as time expired.

“There's a reason U2 has headlined stadiums for decades: they don't just perform, they deliver iconic moments audiences remember forever,” says Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix. "We’re thrilled that they'll bring that same magic to the NFL stage on Netflix. It’s going to be an unforgettable night for football fans and Netflix members worldwide.”
If you didn’t know Netflix streams football games, it’s because it’s fairly new. Last year, Snoop Dogg played the halftime show of the Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings Christmas Day game, alongside Lainey Wilson, Maestro Andrea Bocelli and Matteo Bocelli, and HUNTR/X of KPop Demon Hunters. Netflix’s first Christmas Gameday was in 2024 and featured Beyoncé at halftime of the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans game, in what is known as the four-time Emmy-nominated "Beyoncé Bowl."
But this year, you can catch regular-season matchups through Super Bowl 2027. Netflix will air two games on Christmas Day, December 25: The Green Bay Packers visit the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field, followed by the Buffalo Bills against the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High. It’ll also air the Week 18 game and the NFL Honors, which showcases the league’s annual awards presentation during the week of the Super Bowl.
But if you just want to catch U2’s epic halftime show (how could it not be?), all you need to tune in to this year's NFL Thanksgiving Eve Game is a Netflix subscription.
