A lotus has to grow through muddy water and survive changing conditions before its flower reaches the surface. Diligent Mind at 6060 Arts Space uses that familiar Thai cultural symbol, sometimes called the ‘queen of aquatic plants’, to consider persistence in everyday life. People begin with different circumstances and face different obstacles; the exhibition draws a parallel between their efforts and the plant’s growth towards the light. It’s a familiar idea, given a recognisable starting point in the lotus.
October 5-30. Free entry. 6060 Arts Space, Black Building. Noon-8pm.
