Bangkok is going full fairytale this holiday season, as Central World teams up with The Walt Disney Company Thailand to unveil Disney The Magical Stars 2026 – a sprawling winter wonderland packed with larger-than-life characters, immersive zones and holiday moments designed to make even the grinchiest grown-up feel like a kid again.
Running November 14 2025 to January 6 2026, this is Disney’s largest fairytale-themed event in Asia, transforming more than 3,500 square metres of Central World into a vivid, joy-soaked playground where Mickey, Elsa, Woody and friends take over the heart of the city.
Seven fantastical zones to explore
The journey begins at Mickey & Friends (Square A), where charming mini-worlds, giant toys and adorable scenes from Disney’s most beloved classics set the tone for your adventure. Catch Bangkok’s first snowfall of the year twice daily at 5pm and 7pm, then collect stamps for a special TAT reward as part of A Journey of Magic in Amazing Thailand.
Next up is Toy Story, complete with oversized gift boxes, moving set pieces and a sense of childlike wonder that’s impossible to resist. Fashion lovers can snap up exclusive Toy Story apparel by Niyom Jeans – because who doesn’t need a Woody shirt for the holidays?
At Zootopia, the city of endless diversity comes alive through playful sets inspired by the film, plus exclusive collections from Beverly Hills Polo Club and Happy Sunday. Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde fans, this one’s for you.
The cosy, soulful Stitch’s Cozy Corner by HometomyHeart offers a gentler pause – a storytelling house where every item is tied to childhood memories, handwritten letters and nostalgic treasures.
Things turn frosty at Frozen Enchanted Arendelle, a full recreation of the icy kingdom complete with shimmering snow showers at 6pm and 8pm daily, a grand crystal castle and appearances from Elsa, Anna, Olaf and Kristoff. Frozen-themed treats and exclusive merchandise add to the magic.
The centrepiece is the glowing Disney Princess Castle at Central Court – a regal photo-op featuring Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, Ariel and Rapunzel, plus jewel-tone accessories from RAVIPA and whimsical gifts from Bano:Bagi.
Finally, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort’s 20th Anniversary Zone steals the show. Expect a giant Mickey in a festive anniversary outfit, a 35-metre Christmas tree – the tallest in Southeast Asia and nightly light-ups that feel straight out of Main Street, U.S.A.
Special shows, concerts and 2026 countdown
The holiday cheer doesn’t stop at decor. Look out for the official Christmas tree lighting on November 25, with performances by 4EVE and Billkin. From December 18-25, daily parades and carol performances sweep through the mall, while Santa himself drops in for a visit on December 24-25.
The festivities culminate in the Bangkok Countdown 2026 – an arena-scale celebration with major artists performing from December 21-31 and a full-scale music festival leading into the final countdown.
Festive shopping, gifting and treats
Across the mall, expect exclusive Disney collections from more than 20 brands, limited-edition collaborations, winter play zones from Playmondo and a Starry Food Alley full of seasonal snacks. Shoppers who spend B5,000 can redeem special items from the Magical Holiday Collection featuring Mickey & Friends.
This year, Bangkok isn’t just celebrating the holidays – it’s starring in its own Disney story.
