If your idea of Christmas involves less disposable tinsel and more of an artful, sustainable celebration – paired with some of the best views in the city – Park Hyatt Bangkok has the itinerary for you.

For the third year running, the hotel has transformed its Living Room on the ninth floor into a sustainable art space. The centrepiece is the return of the striking upcycled metal Christmas tree by acclaimed Thai artist Saruta ‘Pin’ Kiatparkpoom (Pin Metal Art). It’s sharp, sustainable and arguably the most photogenic alternative to a Douglas Fir in Bangkok.

In a move to support local communities, the hotel has also teamed up with AKHA MA-DE. If you’re checking in on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, expect a special in-room amenity: a handcrafted cotton token blending the Thai maa-lai garland with mistletoe, woven by the Akha community in Chiang Rai.

But let’s talk about the food, because the lineup is massive.

For a coastal Italian Christmas: Embassy Room La Marina

Chef Alessio Banchero is channeling Mediterranean vibes on the ninth floor. From December 19-26, you can order festive à la carte specials, but the main draw is the Christmas Day Brunch (December 25, B3,200++), featuring heavy hitters like baby octopus Luciana style, Sardinian porchetta and tagliolini al limone.

  • New Year’s Eve: A five-course set dinner (B5,500++) featuring Canadian lobster and langoustine.
  • New Year’s Day: A recovery brunch (B3,200++) with a seafood tower and black truffle pasta.

For a high-altitude blowout: Penthouse Bar + Grill

If you want the skyline views, head to the top of the building (34th-36th floors). Chef Marco Chavez Jaime is behind the grill, serving up premium cuts like Oguma Wagyu striploin and Takeda-10 ribeye for its Christmas Set Dinner (B4,300++) and Brunch (B3,800++).

On New Year’s Eve, things get theatrical. You can opt for the exquisite set menu (B9,550++), but for the full experience, the hotel offers Velvet Curtain and Midnight Burlesque packages (B11,750++ and B12,500++ respectively). These include access to the Cocktail Bar on the 35th floor, led by head mixologist Fabio Brugnolaro, for live jazz by Alba Santos and a dazzling show by Madame Rouge!
