Legendary mor lam meets queen of the scene ‘Hi’ Apaporn in a charity concert with full-scale production on January 13 and 14

Who says you need to travel to a temple fair upcountry to catch a proper mor lam performance? Limber up those dancing hips and make your way to Suan Rot Fai Park on January 13-14 as Bangkok gets its own full-scale charity concert.
Mor Lam Prathom Banthoensil takes over the public park with serious production value with a booming sound system and a massive ensemble, complete with flashing lights.
The night to circle is January 14, when Apaporn ‘Hi’ Nakornsawan hits the stage. She's been a legend for decades and remains the sweetheart of fanboys across Thailand. Expect the entire crowd to be singing along to classics like ‘Chep Ba’, ‘Loek Laew Kha’, ‘Chop Mai’ and ‘Arom Sia’ as they echo across the park.
What makes this one worth going is that it's actually for a good cause. The Miracle of Life Foundation has teamed up with Big Hoi Production to raise funds for communities affected by flooding in Hat Yai through the One Heart for the People project.
Tickets are only B100 and go on sale from 4.30pm at the venue. Bring cash as that's all they take. If you can't make it down, there's a free livestream on Facebook through the Big Hoi Production and Miracle of Life Foundation pages.
The concert runs January 13-14 from 5pm-midnight at Suan Rot Fai Park.
