Nohga Hotel Shinjuku Gyoen will feature balconies with panoramic views of the garden in every room – reservations are now open

Here’s a new way to admire Shinjuku’s greatest green oasis: from above. Lifestyle hotel brand Nohga Hotel’s latest property will boast panoramic front-row views of Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, offering guests the opportunity to feel the changing seasons up close right in the heart of the city.
The hotel operator’s fourth property features 72 guest rooms, each spacious by Tokyo standards at over 30 square metres. The interiors blend the warmth of wood with traditional Japanese craftsmanship, art and lighting to create a space that feels both relaxing and sophisticated.
Occupying the highest floor are the hotel’s flagship Gyoen Suites, each measuring around 70 square metres in size with generous natural lighting from the room’s 13-metre-windows. You can enjoy panoramic views from the king-size bed, couch, or even the large park-facing bathtubs. All rooms come with a private balcony, giving guests a chance to unwind and take in this rare patch of greenery amid Tokyo’s concrete jungle.
The hotel will also house dining facilities open to both guests and local residents. The first floor will feature a bakery, café and bar lounge. Open all day, these spaces will serve as social hubs connecting the hotel with the surrounding neighbourhood.
At the second-floor restaurant, a wood-fired grill takes centre stage, with dishes cooked directly over the flame. Making the most of the heat and aroma of the flame, the dishes are to draw out the natural flavours of the carefully selected ingredients on offer.
Moreover on the 13th floor, expect a rooftop bar and terrace space with alfresco seating. This spacious perch is expected to boast the most impressive panoramic views in the hotel, with vistas far beyond Shinjuku and all the way to Shibuya and Otemachi. You can enjoy a casual drink or a full meal in this atmospheric setting.
The hotel also plans to organise activities that allow guests to experience the charm of the local area. Riding on the recent wellness trend in Japan, there will be a diverse range of programmes on offer to refresh both mind and body, including walks and picnics in Shinjuku Gyoen, as well as running, yoga and meditation.
From what we know so far, Nohga Hotel Shinjuku Gyoen looks to become a distinctive base for exploring Shinjuku, combining the convenience of city life with the restorative benefits of nature.
The hotel is now accepting reservations ahead of the opening, scheduled for July 15 2027.
