All Nippon Airways’ (ANA) ‘Chiikawa Jet’ had its maiden voyage from Haneda Airport on Monday as part of a collaboration with the still incredibly popular dark-cute franchise. Inspired by Japan’s four seasons, its livery features Chiikawa, Hachiware, Shisa and Kurimanju on the left side, and Usagi, Rakko, Momonga and Furuhonya on the right. If you’re lucky enough to spot the jet, test your fortune even further by looking for the tiny four-leaf clover on one of the aircraft’s sides.

Inside, the cabin is decorated with original Chiikawa headrest covers (which you can’t take with you – boo). Passengers can expect to be served drinks in cups featuring Hachiware, Chiikawa and Usagi – you’ll only get one cup per flight, but this one can be taken home if you so desire.

Marking the special occasion, the airline is also launching a range of exclusive Chiikawa merchandise featuring the characters in airline-inspired roles, including Captain Usagi, first officer Hachiware, air marshaller Momonga, aircraft technician Kurimanju and many more.

The merch will go on sale in stages from 10am on October 23 via the airline’s official e-commerce site, and at ANA gift shops (reservations are required to enter these between October 23 to October 25). Good news is that stores after airport security screenings are also selling the merchandise – at Haneda Airport Terminal 2, Sendai Airport, Narita Terminal 1, Naha Airport and Ishigaki Airport, among other locations.

While ANA hasn’t officially published a detailed flight schedule for the Chiikawa Jet, you can track the aircraft’s whereabouts and upcoming flights by searching its registration number, JA609A, on sites such as FlightAware.
